I strongly believe that the key to good health lies within a preventative and holistic approach, which takes into account the body as a whole.  Each individual is absolutely unique; therefore every treatment is tailored to address the individual client needs and health goals. As a health investigator, it is my job to find the root cause of the illness, rather than just masking the symptoms.  Together we will come up with an action plan, that suits you and I will provide ways to combat health concerns, using a range of nutritional and lifestyle medicine options.

Your Health - Your Way - My Support

My thoughts on health and where things have gone wrong: There is soooo much research to back the fact that most chronic disease starts in the gastrointestinal tract.  Diabetes mellitus, allergies, asthma, autoimmune disease, mental health issues, and the list goes on, are strongly linked to poor gut health.  Just think back to our grandparent’s days, most of the disease’s now prominent in society, were nowhere near as common as they are today.  Our ancestors were also not exposed to millions of processed foods on the market, and sweets were homemade and a treat, not a daily occurrence.  Cleaning products and skin care were not filled with chemicals such as parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate and phthalates, which are endocrine disruptors, which means they play havoc with our hormones and get absorbed into our organs.  I believe that in the last 30 years, more than ever we have been fed misleading information into what goes into our foods and household products.  Large corporations have been allowed to heavily market foods which provide no nutritional value at all, and these foods keep feeding the cycle of food addiction and obesity.  Research has proven that certain foods can stimulate the same regions of the brain as cocaine, triggering a burst of dopamine and providing the pleasure pathways with a powerful stimulate.  So, as you can see it is not anyone’s fault if their household is full of processed foods and toxic chemicals, as that is what we have been programmed to buy.  From a Naturopathic health prospective, your body struggles to break down processed foods and chemicals which it does not recognise, leading to inflammation, pain and DIS-EASE in the body.

If I had two wishes it would be that each and every person in the world had access to good wholesome food and clean water.  My second wish would be that processed foods with nasty chemicals and refined sugars were banned from being added to our foods.  I know what you are thinking “not a chance” however; I do believe that knowledge and education gives us the power to make these positive changes, and sometimes the smallest steps in life have the greatest impact!
